DESCRIPTION
An overview of developments in the area of non-standard solid epoxy resin powder coating emphasizing its uses and performance. Most powder coatings are hybrid powders of polyester and epoxy but there are also pure epoxy, pure polyester and polyurethane or acrylic powder coatings. A formulated powder coating is a homogenous mixture of resins, curing agent, filler, pigment and flow modifier. Once applied, fused into a continuous film and cured, the coatings are used in decorative, as well as functional applications. Decorative epoxy resin powder coating can provide excellent product aesthetics, high performance protection and attractive economics. Protective epoxy powder coatings, also known as functional powder coatings, provide long term protection from corrosion for metal substrates. Dow has developed a unique solid epoxy resin for low temperature curing applications. This process allows the manufacture of low viscosity resins, while retaining a sufficiently high softening point.

• Epoxy resin powder coating is a series of epoxy based powder coating designed to give optimum mechanical properties and exceptional protective qualities on components and fabrications where long term exposure to ultra violet light or exterior weathering is not anticipated.
• This series are available in a wide range of colors with different gloss and texture.

● Specific gravity: 1.2-1.8g/cm3 up to colors
● Curing schedule (object temp.): 160℃-180℃/10-15minutes;200℃/5-10minutes;
● Storage: Dry ventilation conditions below 30℃
COATING PERFORMANCE
Type A - 200°C (work piece temperature), 15 minutes (flat or Matt)
Type B -180°C (work piece temperature), 15 minutes (highlight)
Type C -140°C (work piece temperature), 15 minutes (highlight)
